Oregon State Fair

Come visit The Hart of the Garden at the 2009 Oregon State Fair, August 28th to September 7th, 11am to 9pm daily.

More than 8,000 annuals and perennials, and over 150 different plants from around the world will be on display in the Hart of the Garden. Vote for your favorite new plant varieties. 4-H Horticulture and Floral Exhibits will also be on display in the garden. Visit the Hart of the Garden Information Booth and meet Doug Hart of Hart’s Nursery and his staff of gardening experts. Learn about the plants in the Heritage Vegetable Garden and learn how to grow the best plants and flowers in Oregon’s climate. For many years, Harts Nursery has been involved with the Oregon State Fair by sponsoring the Garden District. We have always felt a responsibility to give back to the community that has supported us so faithfully over the years.
	For the last six of these years, Harts has turned the Garden District into a full-grown, hands-on experience. We have over one acre of old growth and newly planted flower beds, water features, sun and shade loving areas, a walk-through vegetable garden and banana grove. There is also a Floral Building with daily seminars on assorted gardening topics and a cut flower display, with participants from all over Oregon. All of this making the Garden District the most popular attraction at the Oregon State Fair. We want to share our passion for natural beauty, by educating experienced and future gardeners on the joy of vegetable gardening and the planting of beautiful flowerbeds.
This year Harts is extending an invitation to you to come and see all of our products at this "hands on" show. You can see old garden favorites and learn about new plants we are trying out in our living show room. Plus on the "dog days of summer," the Garden District is the "coolest" place to be, and the most beautiful.
